Gaya is a city located in the Indian state of Bihar. This holy city is located some 100 kilometer to the south of the state's capital, Patna. This city is popularly known as the place, where Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment. It is one of the major religious places and is considered as a sacred place for the Hindus for performing rituals like Pind Daan, which is performed to pacify the ancestors in the heaven.
